The star of these mixtures is castile soap, which is an organic, vegetable-based solution, and is biodegradable too! You’ll start enjoying cleaner, healthier skin and hair without all the harsh chemicals and additives, and you’ll love how much money these simple ingredients will save you!

DIY Hand Soap

What You’ll Need:

1/2 C. distilled water

1/2 C. castile soap

1 Tbsp. jojoba oil or other nourishing oil

1 Tbsp. vitamin E oil

Essential oils of choice


1. Add water to an empty and clean soap dispenser (a recycled soap dispenser works fine!).

2. Add the castile soap and essential oils to your smell preference.

3. Gently mix the ingredients together, making sure not to make the solution foamy.

4. Place the lid on the bottle, and dispense when needed, making sure to shake the bottle before dispensing.

5. Enjoy clean hands!

DIY Shampoo

What You’ll Need:

1/4 C. liquid castile soap

1/4 C. distilled water

Essential oils of choice

1/2 tsp. avocado oil, jojoba, or oil of choice


1. Mix all the ingredients together, adding the essential oils to your liking.

2. Add the mixture to a bottle and enjoy!
